Lower Back Pain

At some point nearly everyone experiences some form of lower back pain. Studies show that nearly 85 percent of Americans will feel lower back pain at some point in their lives. Lower back pain is one of the most common work-related disabilities. Over $50 million dollars is spent each year treating lower back pain.

Most back pain is classified as acute or short term, however some people will experience chronic or long-term lower back pain. This is usually classified as pain that persists for over 3 months. Common symptoms of lower back pain are:

  • Nagging or dull low pain in the lower back region.
  • Persistent pain in the lower back while sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Tightness in the lower back.
  • Pain in the buttocks or leg region.
